Got Forgiveness?

How can I receive forgiveness from God?

The Answer is Acts 13:38 declares, "Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you." (NIV)

What is forgiveness and why do I need it?
Define Word " Forgive" means to wipe the slate clean, to pardon, to cancel a debt. when we wrong someone, we seek their forgiveness in order for the relationship to be restored. Forgiveness is not granted because a person deserve to be forgiven. what kind of act to be forgiveness? LOVE, MERCY and GRACE. Forgiveness is a decision to not hold something against another person, despite what they have done to you.

The Bible tell us that we all in need of forgiveness from God. We have all committed sin. Ecclesiastes 7:20 proclaims, "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." (KJV) 1 John 1:8 says, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." (KJV) All sin is ultimately an act of rebellion against God. We really need God's forgiveness. If we don't confess that we have sin, we will spend eternity suffering the consequences of our sins. (Matthew 25:46; John 3:36)

Forgiveness- How do I get it?
GOOD NEWS!!! God is loving and merciful- eager to forgive us of our sins! 2 Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (NIV) He desires to forgive us, so He provided for our forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 13:38).

Children of Light

"You, brethren, are not in darkness...You are all sons of light." 1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 The Born-again Christian sees life not as a blurred, confused, meaningless mass, but as something planned and purposeful. His eyes have been opened to spiritual truth. Jesus said that one of the reason He had come to earth was to preach "recovery of sight to the blind" (Luke 4:18). By nature we are all spiritually blind because of sin. But the Spirit of God helps us see our sin and our helplessness and show us God's redeeming grace in Christ. The Spirit reveals the truth of Jesus declaration: "I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" (John 8:12). We are no longer in the dark-we know where we came from, we know why we are here, and we know where we are going. In the midst of a world living in spiritual darkness, walk as a child of the light!

Need Him: Finding God

Colossians 1:15-20 15"Who is the image of the invisible God, the first born of every creature:" 16"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" 17"And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." 18"And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence." 19"For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;" 20"And, having mad peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." Maybe its time to try God. Not "God" the philosophy. GOD, the living Creator of the universe. More than a concept, he is a Person, a Deity. He is someone who kn...

What does the Bible say to do with a rebellious child?

The child who exhibits a rebellious streak may be doing so for a variety of reasons. Harsh, unloving, and critical parenting will nearly always result in rebellion of some sort. In addition, a certain amount of rebellion against parents is natural in teenagers who are slowly pulling away from their families in the process of establishing lives and identities of their own. Fortunately, it is also true that God has made children who and what they are. He loves them, and He has not left parents without resources to meet the challenge. There are biblical principles that address dealing with the rebellious, strong-willed child with grace. First, ( Proverbs 22:6 ) tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not turn from it.” For all children, the way they should go is toward God. Teaching children in God’s Word is crucial for all children, who must understand who God is and how to best serve Him. With the strong-willed child, understanding what...
